Whatever one may think about the wisdom of dealing with terrorists, this 1,000:1 ratio implicitly lays bare the relative value that the two sides, Israel and Hamas, place on their countrymen’s lives.

It’s not often that I agree with the National Post, but on the deal between Israel and Hamas to release Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier who has been held prisoner for 5 years, they’ve hit the nail on the head.
