Striking South African miners charged with the deaths of their fellow miners, despite the fact that they were actually killed by the police

Yup, the ANC had 270 miners, many of whom have been injured and beaten by police themselves, charged with killing the 34 miners who, two weeks ago, were gunned down by police. Of course, nearly all the miners are black, and the mining company for whom the police were acting as strikebreakers is based in the UK.

Making the ANC’s ridiculous drive to hold on to power any way they can, including on the backs of poor rural black citizens, that much more ironic.

I mean, I know very little about South African politics, but it’s pretty clear that this is fracked up (mining pun not intended).
