I can’t even describe how incredibly pissed I am right now.
I had booked a flight Winnipeg > Toronto, but had to change it to go to Calgary instead. I found a flight to Calgary that was going to cost less than the one to Toronto - awesome, I’d just have to pay the (stupid) $75 change fee, since there was no price difference.
The $75 change fee isper direction.
They charged me $150 on a ticket that, before taxes, cost $260.
Of course, no one can explain any reason for such a steep fee. It certainly doesn’t cost them $150 to make that change, and they’re not losing any money for my switch, my money is staying in the company. The fee is greed - pure and simple.
I understand a punitive fee. A small fee to discourage people from switching - or simply to make some money off people’s indecisiveness. But $150? Really? That’s highway robbery. There’s simply no possible justification for that.
These people are disconnected from reality. I paid $40 to fly from Bristol to Morocco. How does it cost $150 to not even fly from Winnipeg to Calgary?

Making eye contact with a moose will never not be weird.
Especially when I’m lying in bed, reading, and a bull decides to graze in the side yard immediately next to my window.
